Reviews for Capawcino Cat Cafe
Review highlights
Based on 892 reviewsCapawcino Cat Cafe & Restaurant in Dhanmondi offers a distinctive blend of cozy ambiance and cat-friendly experiences, appealing especially to animal lovers. Reviewers commonly praise the inviting atmosphere, well-decorated interiors, and the unique concept of a glass-enclosed cat zone that allows guests to observe or interact with cats. The food quality is frequently highlighted, with particular acclaim for their pastas and ice cream, noted for both taste and generous portions. Staff are generally described as helpful and attentive, contributing to an overall pleasant visit. However, some customers have expressed concerns regarding the cleanliness and grooming of the longhaired cats, as well as occasional odors emanating from the cat enclosure, suggesting improvements in ventilation and maintenance. Additionally, the entry fee for accessing the cat zone is considered somewhat high by some patrons. Despite these critiques, Capawcino remains a favored spot for combining culinary enjoyment with a relaxed, animal-friendly environment.
had a great overall experience. The food was good, and I really enjoyed the variety they offered. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxing. The cat zone was a nice space, with plenty of friendly and playful cats. However, I did notice that some of the long-haired cats could have been better groomed. Additionally, since guests have to enter the cat area barefoot, I feel that the litter and floors should be cleaned more frequently to maintain hygiene. Despite these minor concerns, it was still a lovely experience, and I’d definitely consider visiting again!
A great place for furr lovers. Tasted their ice-cream, it was great, the amount of scoop was great. You can even fill-up your stomach with ice-cream only. But the entry fee of the cat zone should be lower ( its a bit too much ). The environment is good tho. You can spend a lot of time by watching the meows.
This a unique eatery in terms of having cats in a glass enclosure right next to our table. I liked the theme but they can do better with odor that comes from the cat enclosure. They need a strong ventilation system. But nevertheless live for stray cats or any animals is praiseworthy. There food items are outstanding especially pastas. One of the best pastas I had in any restaurant in Dhaka. Signature pasta items are must try. They have porch sitting for those who wants to enjoy Dhanmondi traffic:). Pricing for menu items are very reasonable and servers are well trained and very cordial. This restaurant has a dedicated elevator which brings you right inside the restaurant.
An well decorated cafe with special interests for cats. A cat zone is glass enclosed within the cafe. You can watch their activities from outside while waiting for food, or you can enter there with fees. Food, atmosphere, staffs are good and helpful. But the odour that come from the cat zone sometimes spill out to the cafe, at least to people who are sitting near the enclosure.
Capawcino Cat Café is a safe haven for stray cats that you can play with, adopt while eating some delicious snacks. We have gathered a good experience. The blue and ashen walls with wooden textured tables have a sophisticated yet youthful feel to it. While on one side people are enjoying their meals, on the other side, behind a glass door, the furry friends wait to be petted by the customers. The cat zone was a nice space, with plenty of friendly and playful cats. There’s a charge ( 200 BDT/ Person/hour, no charge for below 3 years baby) for when the customers want to see the cats or pet them and that’s due to the cost incurred to take care of them. Though, they try to maintain hygiene, we found a cat smell in the cat arena. Despite these minor concerns,it is a fascinating and feelgood operation guaranteed to uplift your spirits.
The best restaurant I've ever visited. I don't understand how people even complain about price. Cause in my area, I will never get so good food in this price. I suggest having lime orange soda, the best drink I've ever tried. Chicken nanban is so good but I didn't like chicken strips that much. Now coming to cat zone, I think the price is less cause there are around 25 cats! Overall, if you're really a cat lover, you can never say no to those adorable cats! They are so friendly that they literally come to you so you need to pet them. 200 tk per hour can never be expensive!
This is a must go for cats and good food lovers. We ordered thick thai soup, seafood chowder, seafood baked pasta and beef carbonara pasta. Everything was pretty tasty and good on portions. The price to taste ratio is very good. The environment is good as well. Nice interior and they have an outdoor part too. The cat section takes a little charge but you'll be delighted as well. Will visit again. Highly recommended.
Amazing experience of visiting a cat cafe for the first time, alhamdulillah! My child loved it, and so did I! All the cats were really friendly. They were of different temperaments, but all were safe to play with. We loved Panda the most! It was so soothing and relaxing to spend time playing with these furry friends who don't judge you on anything! Though the cats here are the showstoppers, the food is good too- just that, I wish the amount had been larger. Their service is cordial. But when we went to pet the cats, other people thought our seat was empty and there was a little bit of confusion which got solved easily. We would definitely love to revisit to rejuvenate ourselves! All in all, a wonderful experience worth repeating!
